“Our school has an ethos of care and responsibility; it is a school community that is both thoughtful and harmonious…”
Thank you for visiting Biddulph High School’s website. I hope that along with our prospectus it will give you a clear sense of what makes our school distinctive in an ever-changing world.
Our school has an ethos of care and responsibility; it is a school community that is both thoughtful and harmonious. In May 2013 Ofsted graded the school ‘Good – with Outstanding features’.
Parents, students, staff and Trustees believe that we have an exceptional school with an excellent record of developing the individual talents of our students. We set very high standards, encouraging all our students to maximise their potential both academically and through an extensive range of extra-curricular opportunities.
We live in a time of constant change, but education at Biddulph High School is founded on ‘traditional’ themes: ambition, individuality, purpose and growth. There is also plenty of hard work, determination, cooperation, fairness, trust, honesty, kindness and generosity.
Visitors to our school say that our students are a credit to themselves, their families and their school. There is a saying that ‘while times change, values don’t.’ We always look towards the future and students are given every opportunity to gain the qualifications and personal skills that an ever changing world of employment requires.
With this in mind we continue to develop extensive links with a wide range of universities as well as local and global leaders in the world of industry.
In 2016 over 59% of our students gained English and Mathematics at GCSE, whilst our Sixth Form (BH6) students receive an ‘Excellent’ standard of teaching according to the national ALPs data.
As a regional hub for School Direct Initial Teacher Training and Leadership Development we aim to further develop education and Professional Learning across the whole of Biddulph. We continue to work closely with local schools and colleges to provide all of the students and staff in Biddulph with the best opportunities to develop and grow.
Recent developments in the school including new IT facilities in classrooms and study spaces help to further enhance our contemporary learning environment.
Check the school Newsletters for the latest information about the everyday life of the school. If you require further information or you wish to visit us during a school day please do not hesitate to contact the school.
